This is a re-blog from my friend Michelle Perry over at www.Lunasealife.wordpress.com
She writes:
A few years ago, I started meditating.
At first it was for 5 minutes at a time. It was hard. It was uncomfortable. It wasn’t enjoyable. My mind blabbered, my knees hurt.
Over the past few years, after numerous classes and stopping and starting again, I’ve built up to a practice of two hours a day – one hour in the morning and one in the evening (that’s on my good days; I don’t always hit the two hour mark).
I’ve experienced the positive effects in my life – less stress, less anxiety, a better feel for my emotions and my body, more awareness of the ways I’m crazy and destructive, a better memory, a stronger ability to savor and appreciate life.
In the society we’ve created, with its pressures and multitasking and addictions and smartphones and ADHD, meditation is the single most important thing a person can do for their well-being, happiness, serenity and sanity.
And more and more, there are scientific studies backing up the physiological benefits. Finally, science is starting to figure out why the spiritually-minded have been espousing meditation for centuries.
If you can’t find meditation classes near you (google around), you can begin with these free guided meditations, starting with the 5 minute one:

But I’d really recommend classes. It gets you more comfortable with the practice, and doing it with other people is more motivating than struggling to sit there on your own.
Funny how terrifying just sitting there, breathing, can be…

I don’t have Spotfiy, nor am I going to get Spotfiy. Firefox isn’t allowing me to load the song anyway. Is there another way you can send it to me? Is it something you made?
Meditation is the hash bomb, lol. Every morning durng meditation i’m inside the vortex soring. It allows you to seperate and envision the lifestyle you want. Then your subconscious mind starts believing everything you tell it. (true or false). China;.seriously. listen; I’ve lied to myself so much – that what I’ve been lying about has come true, or starting to come true now,
I love meditation and closing my eyes seeing a Ferrari, Lamborgini, ect and feeling the emotions of having it. I love this energy because it shows you opportunities to receive what you’ve been meditating for. I.E. a high traffic site receiving 41,000 ‘potential customers’ a month, 0!, 0!!, 0!!!!!!!! competion. Now,I know not 1 local store that receives 41,000 potential customers a month. (store in the mall maybe). I don’t even need that many custmers. paying me ($19.95) concurrently, each month for life, or until he/she cancels their credit card.
I originally wanted to help 4000 people experience superior health and happiness. But helping 40,000 people would be incredible and reward me spiritually and financially, knowing that im helping so many people – and not only for the money.
Thanks.
Meditation is the BOMB, that is for sure!!!
Also, Jack Canfield and his partner made a clear intention to help 1 million people with their Chicken Soup of the Soul books. It took time, dedication, and patience, but they did it. It’s great that you have a clear intention!
Check your email.
I caught one of your dance videos, so when I heard this song on spotify it reminded me of you dancing.
Anyway, no music yet still working it out creatively. Sooooooo…..
Time to go smell the roses.
