Choose Successful Habits
Habits Can Be Used To Build Character
The things a person does daily become the sum total of who and what they are. The way a person spends their time, money and energy tells the world what kind of person they are choosing to be. What kind of food do they eat? What kind of words do they speak? What kind of company do they keep? What places do they frequent? What have they done with their life thus far? If the answer is, “not much,” take a look at their habits, which will explain why. The same is true of those who have done great things with their lives. I’ll bet their habits have been quite meticulous and exact. Change your habits and you change what happens in your life. If you let your habits change you, you may find yourself in trouble.
Habits Lead to Failure or Success
Successful people do the things that unsuccessful people will not do. Just as actor Will Smith said, “While other people are sleeping, I’m working. While other people are playing, I’m working.” My coach, says a person must approach their passion as an Olympic Athlete would approach their training. I think this is true of anything in life. An Olympic Athlete would not expect to win a gold medal without practicing every day. It takes 10,000 hours of practice for a person to become really good at something. This applies to any skill, including experiencing your life potential to the fullest.
