I’m off to the islands…

I’m headed out of the country for a few months. First I will be in the Cook Islands. After that I will be at a Vipassana silent meditation retreat. I’m really excited. In the Cook Islands, there are a bunch of smaller islands that no one lives on. You can take a boat to one of them and stay for the day (or overnight). Usually, you will be the only person on the entire island, all day. Normally, I go with my family, but this time I have requested to be dropped off on an island for the day alone.
After visiting the Cooks I head off to the retreat for a few weeks. The retreat is completely silent (no talking the entire time). We also aren’t allowed cell phones, computers, books, or to look at anyone else in the eyes. The only thing we are allowed to do is to meditate and go within. I can’t friggin’ wait!!

I will not be uploading any videos during this time. I will have no phone access and my internet access will be very limited. My blog will be active and there will be blog posts for you to read and enjoy. I have left you with a guided light meditation to practice.
